Also known as the "leopard of the sea", leather from the wolfish is characterized by a natural array of beautiful dark spots. There are no scales on these fish, so the leather is smooth and supple as well as being extremely strong. This leather is the largest of the species we offer with an average size of 1.1 square foot and 0.8 mm thickness. The wolffish has the largest variety of size ranging from small (0.76 sq ft) to extra large (2.22 sq ft). Sizes are: Small (0.76 to 1.10), Medium (1.11 to 1.45), Large (1.46 to 1.81), Extra Large (1.82 to 2.22).
